Subject: RE: Working for Water
de-brief
Dear Members of
the Phantom Homtini Nature Conservancy
I have made
contact with the farmers at the top of the catchment and the work will start
there around August this year, as I have to finish the Brenton Area first.
June/July is reserved for training of my teams.
I have however
been in contact with quite a number of landowners for the Herbicide Assistance.
Urgent news :
Bugweed is the latest headache. Contact me if you see them on your property.
Gray/silvery shrub, hairy, large leaves, gray/silvery berries. Also called Wild
Tobacco.
Unfortunately I
am not able to supply you with a running update every week but I will try to
keep you informed.
Keep well and
keep pulling those seedlings as you go along

Hallo to all
Just to let you know, I have a meeting with the Bio-control section
of the Dept Water Affairs this week.
The aim is to investigate the possibility of introducing the
appropriate insects which feed on Wattle and Hakea seed.
This is a long-term treatment method but wonderful success has been
recorded.
I will let you know what the results are of the assessment.
Keep well and keep pulling those seedlings out on your walks
Kezia
